ÎLE D’ORLÉANS

ÎLE D’ORLÉANS // QUEBEC, CANADA

⁣⁣Ile d’Orléans, only a fifteen-minute drive from Quebec. An island where we encountered more horses than people, and more people than passing headlights. A festive mise-en-scène with all the makings of a classic Christmas feature, or rather its forsaken movie set: skeleton trees, a cold-weather whistling of the wind. Gingerbread houses glinting by the stick of icicles and clot of frost. Omens all favoring the opinion that every holiday is best just a little bit haunted. ⁣⁣
