I stood across the street for forty-five minutes waiting for this moment to unfold. It was our first afternoon in Palermo, my family was ordering 𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘦 sandwiches down the street, and the bride rolled up in a little red convertible to her friends sharing cigarettes by the church steps. There’s nothing like a little domestic cinema to welcome you to a new place. ⁣⁣
